What's a faucet?

A faucet is a way for web3 users to obtain testnet tokens to their wallet to get started using various blockchain networks or protocols. For example, these faucet tokens can bootstrap testnet wallets for deploying smart contracts, or interacting with existing contracts and accounts on the network.

The term “faucet” is used because tokens are usually “dripped” in small amounts over a period of time.
